It’s astonishing to me to realize that 32 years have passed since my good friend and advisor, the late Mayor Chester Rybicki, hosted the first Naperville Mayor’s Charity Golf Outing. With Chet’s passing last March, I am especially honored to continue the tradition and host this year’s event in his memory.
Over the years the Golf Outing has visited several of Naperville’s finest golf courses and we are happy to return for another round to the White Eagle Golf Club. The Outing has also evolved to include the wonderful Cuisine on the Green dinner featuring delicious dishes from some of Naperville’s best restaurants. I’m looking forward to see what this year’s taste of the best of Naperville will serve.
However it changes though, it remains a great day that brings together members of our community for a time of camaraderie and good fun that benefits Naperville charities. Last year we contributed more than $33,000 to many deserving organizations. Beneficiaries from the 2012 Outing included Almost Home Kids, DuPage Children's Museum, Edward Foundation Kids Care, Little Friends, Naperville Junior Woman's Club Safety Town, Our Children's Homestead, Samaritan Interfaith Counseling Center, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation and YMCA of Naperville.
I will be working with our tireless committee, the wonderful restaurants that participate in our Cuisine on the Green dinner, our generous sponsors and donors to make the 2013 Naperville Mayor’s Charity Golf Outing even more fun and successful for the benefit of our local charities. I look forward to seeing you there!
God Bless,
Mayor A. George Pradel
